Is BOTOX the Same as Dermal Fillers?
It’s important to understand that fillers and products such as BOTOX and DAXXIFY® are not the same, even though they are all injectable treatments. Dermal fillers, such as JUVÉDERM, Restylane®, and Sculptra® Aesthetic, work by adding volume to wrinkles and folds. BOTOX and other neurotoxins work by temporarily immobilizing small facial muscles that create “dynamic” wrinkles by contracting hundreds of times a day.
