Laser Vein Treatment
For laser vein treatment, Atlanta facial plastic surgeon Dr. Jarmuz uses the IRIDEX DioLite™ laser. With high-powered, short-duration pulses of laser light, the DioLite laser system will eliminate veins for a beautifully unblemished look. Dr. Jarmuz can adjust the treatment specifically for your skin for optimal results and to minimize effects on surrounding tissue.
Treatment is usually quick and will not require general anesthesia. Patients may experience some redness that will last less than a day after treatment and will begin seeing improvement in their facial veins within a few days. A series of treatments may be required for veins to disappear completely.
Sclerotherapy
To eliminate facial veins with sclerotherapy in Atlanta, a sclerosing solution is injected into the dilated vessels, causing the vein to collapse and become much less visible. In many cases, the veins can be eliminated completely.
As the sclerosing agent is injected, you may feel a slightly uncomfortable stinging sensation similar to a bug bite, although this will last only seconds. After the injection, you may see some swelling (lasting no longer than 24 hours) and light bruising (lasting up to several weeks). Before the vein disappears, it may have a slightly brown discoloration that can last for about 3 months. This vein treatment is highly effective and produces long-lasting results.
