Theresa M. Jarmuz, M.D.

A double board-certified facial plastic surgeon in Atlanta, Theresa M. Jarmuz, M.D. is certified by The American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) and by The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is a member of The American Medical Association, The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The American Academy of Otolaryngology, The Atlanta Medical Women’s Alliance, and The Medical Association of Georgia.

Dr. Jarmuz offers a full line of surgical and nonsurgical procedures, including facelift, eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty as well as BOTOX® Cosmetic, laser hair removal and miraDry® treatments for excessive sweating. Education

Theresa M. Jarmuz, M.D. began her higher education in Boston, Massachusetts, where she received her Bachelor’s degree with honors, magna cum laude, in Psychology. Dr. Jarmuz then returned to her hometown of Buffalo, New York, to attend the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she obtained her M.D. degree. Her postgraduate training in General Surgery was completed through the Emory University affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Following this, she also completed her surgical subspecialty training through Emory University in Otolaryngology.

Fellowship

During her training at Emory, Dr. Jarmuz developed a strong interest in plastic surgery of the face, head and neck. Due to her interest and background, she was chosen for a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and received one of only 37 positions nationwide.

During this Fellowship, her entire experience was in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, eyes, face, head and neck. Following her fellowship, she joined Dr. Wallace K. Dyer at Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery.

Teaching, Research & Awards

Dr. Jarmuz previously held an academic appointment of Clinical Instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Emory University School of Medicine where she taught facial plastic and reconstructive surgery to Residents.
