Concealer, creams, cooling masks—there are few products most of us haven’t tried to make our eyes look rested, awake, and youthful. In this blog post, I’ll discuss a few powerful ways you can refresh the appearance of your eyes with injectables like dermal fillers and BOTOX, and show some before and after pictures of my patients.
Restoring a Rested Appearance
Fillers can even out hollows, disguise undereye bags, and smooth the area around the eyes. This approach offers a longer-lasting and more effective solution than layering on the concealer every morning.
- Bags: It’s especially difficult to cover bags, or fatty deposits under the eyes, with makeup or topical products. By subtly raising the skin around the bags, filler blends the deposits into the contours of the face.
- Hollows: The same effect takes place with dark circles. Lifting this skin reduces the amount of shadow under the eyes and brightens up the area for a more rested look.

The skin around the eyes is thin and quick to show signs of aging. In fact, it’s often one of the first areas to display fine lines and wrinkles. When we reduce the appearance of concerns around the eyes, the eyes themselves draw more attention and appear more inviting, relaxed, and rejuvenated.
